Submission Guidelines
ASCE encourages the submission of scholarly and practice-oriented articles to its journals. Before you submit an article, please review the scope statements for ASCE's journals on the journals home pages, to ensure that you are submitting your work to the journal that is best suited for it. Then, consult our resources for authors, especially the sections about types of journal content and length of journal submissions. Additional information for submitting to this journal appears below.
For Technical Papers and Technical Notes
Create two Word or LaTex (if LaTex, please also include a PDF copy)files containing the items listed below, with fonts and special characters fully embedded:
- A Word or LaTex file of the cover letter and names of suggested reviewers
- A Word or LaTex file of the double-spaced, single-column version of the full manuscript, including figures and tables
Submit the two files as e-mail attachments to Journal Submissions; include name of the journal in the subject line.
Papers under review, accepted for publication, or published elsewhere should not be submitted and will not be considered.
Discussions
Submit a double-spaced copy of your discussion as a Word or LaTex file with fonts and special characters fully embedded to: ASCE Journal Services.
Suggested Reviewers
All manuscripts should be accompanied by a list of four (4) potential reviewers. Include the complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, and at least five (5) subject headings that identify the expertise of each reviewer. Although the journal is not obligated to use any or all of the suggested reviewers, the editors believe that having authors suggest reviewers will result in an improved peer review process.
